AID is a non-profit, community-based organization that serves individuals with mental health and substance abuse concerns in Southern Kane County. A variety of programming is available to meet the specific needs of the individual, including Crisis Services, Outpatient treatment, Residential, Group, Substance Abuse Counseling and Victim Services.
Behavioral Health Outpatient Services – Providing linkage, counseling, and direct assistance to ensure individuals meet basic needs for sustaining community living.
Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) – Proactive education and intervention to support sobriety and prevent further substance abuse in individuals with mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation – Providing a range of social, educational, occupational, behavioral and cognitive intervention designed to increase basic psychosocial capacities in everyday life.
Victims Services – a preventative program intervening in the lives of those who have had a traumatic experience before post traumatic stress disorder begins.
