Delnor Hospital offers a wide range of psychological services for children, adolescents, adult and geriatric adult populations, including: neuropsychological assessment, psychological testing, ADHD testing, treatment for depression (including Postpartum Depression), anxiety, chronic pain, cancer support, crisis intervention, and a number of other personal, familial and marital counseling issues.
The Delnor Memory and Behavior Clinic is designed to assist patients, families and physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of complex memory issues, including the early assessment of Dementia (including Alzheimer’s Disease), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post concussive syndrome, Cerebral Vascular Disease (CVA) and other cognitive disorders. The clinic is designed to conduct a preliminary assessment by a team of specialists (including a Board Certified Neurologist, Clinical Neuropsychologist, Geriatric Nurse Practitioner or Social Services provider) within a two hour intake appointment.
Neuropsychological services at Delnor Hospital are available to help assess and manage the functional effects of neurodevelopment disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and acquired disorders of brain function. Patients who display signs and symptoms of attention and memory deficits, difficulty with reasoning and problem solving, impaired visual or spatial reasoning, language difficulties, impaired motor functioning, impaired or altered emotional function, or difficulties with academic skill are all potentially appropriate for neuropsychological evaluation. A neuropsychological evaluation is ordered by your physician and is covered by Medicare and most major insurance plans. Evaluations conducted through local assisted-living or full-care facilities can be arranged as available.
